Is there an Omega-3 supplement similar to Eskim?

Dear Margherita,

Our dietary supplement Meaquor contains highly concentrated omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA — 900 mg per capsule — and offers a cost-saving option for those who need to supplement with high-dose omega-3s.

Although Meaquor is similar in composition, it must be clarified that Eskim is a medication, whereas Meaquor is a dietary supplement, so their applications are distinct: medication is used to treat and prevent diseases, while supplements have exclusively nutritional and physiological effects to support normal bodily functions.

Meaquor is composed of soft gel capsules of highly purified and concentrated fish oil, with an omega-3 EPA and DHA content of 900 mg per capsule. The omega-3s in Meaquor are present as ethyl esters (EE) of the fatty acids.

Each capsule contains 500 mg of EPA and 400 mg of DHA.

This is probably the highest EPA and DHA dose per capsule available on the market for an Omega-3 fatty acid supplement. In agreement with your healthcare provider, thanks to its EPA and DHA content, you can use Meaquor in the following cases:

  • To maintain normal blood triglyceride levels with a daily intake of 2,000 mg of EPA and DHA — 2 Meaquor capsules provide 1,800 mg;
  • To maintain normal blood pressure with a daily intake of 3,000 mg of EPA + DHA — 3 Meaquor capsules provide 2,700 mg;
  • To maintain normal heart function with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA + DHA — 1 Meaquor capsule provides 900 mg;
  • To maintain normal brain and visual functions with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA — 1 Meaquor capsule provides about 400 mg, more than sufficient.

I remain available for any further questions.
