What kind of fish is used in the production of Omegor Vitality?
Dear Monica,
The fish oil used in Omegor Vitality is exclusively extracted from small and very small oily fish (about 99% from anchovies and the remaining 1% from sardines and mackerel). All fish oils used in Omegor products are obtained through multiple molecular distillation, a technological process that ensures total absence of contaminants as well as a high concentration of Omega-3 EPA and DHA. Omegor Vitality is available in 2 formats:
- Omegor Vitality 1000 (weight of each pearl including oil + shell = 1410 mg), box of 30 pearls each with 1000 mg of fish oil, 420 mg EPA and 210 mg DHA.
- Omegor Vitality 500 (weight of each pearl including oil + shell = 700 mg), box of 60 pearls each with 500 mg of fish oil, 210 mg EPA and 105 mg DHA.
The recommended dosage is 1-3 pearls of Omegor Vitality 1000 or 2-6 pearls of Omegor Vitality 500, to be taken before a meal. Regarding your other question about alpha-lipoic acid, I can tell you that this component is present in Omegor Antiage, a supplement rich in active ingredients with supporting effects on skin trophism, microcirculation, and resolution of inflammatory phenomena. The main nutrients are polyunsaturated fatty acids EPA, DHA (Omega-3) and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil. Their functions include:
- regulating and balancing the production of eicosanoids (ubiquitous short-lived hormones that regulate the activity of all the body’s cells);
- promoting skin elasticity, hydration, and tone.
These active ingredients, combined with antioxidants, help maintain the skin's natural youth by promoting cellular metabolism (Coenzyme Q10 and alpha-lipoic acid) and reducing oxidative stress (resveratrol, curcumin, sesamin). You can find the detailed composition at this link: Omegor Antiage. It may be advisable to combine Omegor Vitality with Omegor Antiage. The dosage in this case would be 1 pearl per day of Omegor Antiage and up to 2 pearls per day of Omegor Vitality 1000 mg, to be taken shortly before a main meal (lunch, breakfast, or dinner), either split throughout the day or all at once.
I remain available for any further questions.
Best regards, Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
