Ask the Pharmacist

Is the fish oil in Omegor Kids IFOS certified?

Good morning, I would like to receive some information about Omegor Vitality and your Omega-3 supplements for children. Thank you.

Omegor Kids is a liquid supplement that helps promote the physical, intellectual, and behavioral growth of children.

It contains 200 milligrams of DHA from algal oil, a source of Omega-3 fatty acids that is purer than fish oil. The one we use is highly purified and produced with the highest safety standards, so you can be assured. The IFOS certification (International Fish Oil Standards) applies only to fish oils. Among the other ingredients:

  • Vitamin D3, important for the fixation of calcium and phosphates in bones and tooth enamel;
  • Vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps stimulate the immune system.

The formulation is particularly pleasant due to the presence of honey. The recommended dosage is 1 sachet per day, to be taken individually or mixed with yogurt, citrus fruits, or strawberries. DHA supplementation helps promote the correct psychophysical development of the child, as it contributes to forming the membranes of the central nervous system. Alternatively, you can have your daughter take 1 capsule per day of Omegor Vitality 1000, a supplement of Omega-3 fatty acids, with EPA (420 mg/capsule) and DHA (210 mg/capsule) available in capsules. The fish oil in Vitality is pure and deodorized, and is IFOS certified.

The capsules can be punctured: you can either take the content directly or mix it with yogurt or spreadable cheese. To make it easier to take and minimize the possible fishy taste, it is recommended to keep the supplement in the refrigerator. I hope I have answered your questions thoroughly, but I remain available for further clarifications.
