Is Cardiol Forte red rice free from contaminants?
Cardiol Forte contains citrinin? Thanks, regards FB
Good morning,
First of all, I can assure you that Cardiol Forte, based on red yeast rice, does not contain citrinin. Citrinin is a mycotoxin produced by some yeasts of the genera Aspergillus, Monascus, etc. In fact, since the ingredient red yeast rice is obtained from the fermentation of common rice (Oryza sativa) with Monascus purpureus (red yeast), in some raw materials the presence of citrinin as a contaminant could be detected.
However, the red yeast rice we use as a raw material in the production of Cardiol Forte is carefully selected and is free from citrinin, as is the finished Cardiol Forte product. I remain available for any further information.
