Is Omegor Antiage indicated during menopause?
Dear Madam,
The product Omegor Antiage can be very helpful in counteracting signs and symptoms of menopause. Indeed, the combination of antioxidants, omega-3, and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil contributes to slowing down skin aging (loss of elasticity, dryness, etc.), promotes good mood, and helps reduce hot flashes. An Italian clinical study (Campagnoli et al., 2005), conducted as a double-blind placebo-controlled trial over 24 weeks, showed a significant reduction in hot flashes following supplementation with fish oil and borage oil.
According to the researchers, this result is due to the stabilizing effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids on the membranes of nervous system cells. In fact, the omega-3 fatty acids EPA, DHA, and GLA influence the serotonergic system that regulates the hypothalamic centers of thermoregulation, allowing a reduction in hot flashes. Moreover, the combination of omega-3 and GLA helps reduce levels of inflammatory prostaglandins (e.g., PGE2), hormones responsible for bone resorption and implicated in mood imbalance as well as in the onset of skin disorders such as dryness, eczema, psoriasis, etc.
EPA and DHA omega-3s are also very important for maintaining normal heart functions (250 mg/day), parameters that should not be underestimated especially when a woman enters menopause. The recommended dose for Omegor Antiage is one softgel per day to be taken before a meal. Supplementation with this product does not cause problems or side effects even with prolonged use, but if you prefer to follow periods of pause, I suggest cycles lasting at least 2-3 months to allow the active ingredients to exert their action, with breaks of up to one month.
If you wish to increase your daily omega-3 intake, you may combine Omegor Antiage with up to 2 softgels of Omegor Vitality 1000, a simpler and highly concentrated formulation containing only omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. I hope this has been helpful and I invite you to contact us again for any further information.
Best regards,
