Is Omegor Vitality suitable for a 4 year old child?

Dear Omegor, I would like your opinion on whether it is appropriate to give a 4-year-old child Omegor Vitality 1 gram, a product I have been using for years … I am an old customer of yours. I have read that it is not advisable to give EPA to children as it inhibits arachidonic acid, which is important for their growth unlike for us adults. Without having to spend more money on other products containing only DHA, I would like to know at what dosage Omegor Vitality Plus 1g omega-3 softgels can be given. Thank you.

Dear Francesco,

Omegor Vitality can also be taken by children from 3 years onwards. This supplement contains concentrated fish oil, rich in omega-3 in triglyceride form, which is the form best absorbed by the body. Each capsule of Omegor Vitality 1000 contains 420 milligrams of EPA and 210 milligrams of DHA, the fatty acid that contributes to maintaining good visual capacity and brain function when taken daily in the amount of 250 mg.

Furthermore, Omegor Vitality contains natural vitamin E which helps reduce oxidative stress and preserves the characteristics of the fish oil itself. To facilitate administration and avoid swallowing difficulties, I suggest piercing a capsule and giving your child the liquid content or choosing the smaller 500 mg capsule format.

The recommended dose is 1 g per day (1 capsule of 1000 mg or 2 capsules of 500 mg) once a day.
