How long should I take Omega-3?

Dear Alessandro,

our diet has changed significantly over the past decades. The intake of Omega-3 fatty acids has drastically decreased, leading to an increase in the Omega-6/Omega-3 ratio.

As shown by various epidemiological studies, this increased ratio raises the incidence of cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases in the population.

Starting an Omega-3 supplementation helps restore a balance that once naturally existed in our bodies, a balance that has been disrupted by poor dietary habits and unhealthy lifestyles.

It is clear that the intake of these fatty acids can be continued over time without the onset of side effects. I recommend taking Omega-3 for at least 3 months to evaluate the effectiveness of the supplementation.

Naturally, depending on your eating habits, you may adjust the dosage. For example, if you regularly eat fish, you may reduce your daily Omega-3 intake.

Kind regards, and I remain at your disposal for any further information.
