Information about Omegor Kids: intake cycles, dosage and contraindications
I would like to receive more information about Omegor Kids:
1) What is the recommended age for taking the product?
2) What is the minimum age for taking the product?
3) What is the maximum age for taking the product?
4) Should it be taken on a full or empty stomach?
5) Is it better to take it in cycles? With what timing?
6) Are there any general contraindications?
Dear Paolo,
Omegor Kids is a supplement containing 200 milligrams of algal DHA. It is designed to support children’s physical, intellectual, and behavioral development.
The Omega-3 fatty acid DHA is one of the key structural components of nerve cell membranes and also supports visual development. Other ingredients include:
- Vitamin D3, important for calcium and phosphate absorption in bones and tooth enamel;
- Vitamin C, an antioxidant that supports immune system function.
The formulation is made pleasant thanks to the addition of honey, a natural energy source known for its antibacterial, soothing, and emollient properties.
It is suitable for children starting from the age of 1.
Ideally, supplementation should begin around 2 to 3 years of age, when the child's diet becomes more varied. I recommend doing 2–3 month cycles followed by a 30-day break between each cycle. Supplementation with Omegor Kids is especially useful and effective during the school period.
There is no maximum age limit, as it is a nutritional supplement, but it is generally recommended up to the age of 13/14. Omegor Kids comes in a liquid formulation available in single-dose sachets. It can be taken alone, even as a snack alternative, or added to plain yogurt.
It does not need to be taken on a full stomach, which makes it convenient and easy to take anywhere at any time of day. There are no specific contraindications, except in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
I hope I have provided all the information you were looking for.
I remain available for any further questions.
Best regards, Dr. Rosaria Ramondino, Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
