Omega-3 Supplements: What is the Right Dosage?
Good morning, I purchased 4 boxes of Omega-3 supplements from you. I wanted to know how many capsules to take per day and if there is a maximum period for use. In this regard, I have heard conflicting advice: some friends say Omega-3s should not be taken every day or only for a maximum of 2/3 months a year. I would like to get some clarification on this. Thank you and have a great day.
Dear Doctor,
Our diet has changed significantly in recent decades. The intake of omega-3 fatty acids has drastically decreased, leading to an increase in the Omega-6/Omega-3 ratio.
Due to this increased ratio, as several epidemiological studies show, there has been a higher incidence of cardiovascular diseases and inflammation in the population. When you start a dietary supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids, it restores a balance that was present in our body, a balance that has been altered by poor eating habits and unhealthy lifestyles.
From this perspective, it is clear that such supplementation with fatty acids can be extended over time without the appearance of side effects. I recommend taking 2 capsules per day of Omegor Vitality 1000, either before or during a main meal. The benefits of omega-3s (EPA and DHA) will be gradually noticeable over 8 weeks of supplementation, which is the necessary time for them to be incorporated into cell membranes.
You can extend the supplementation without any problems and manage it as you see fit, depending on your dietary habits. For example, consuming fish 3-4 times a week allows you to reduce the daily omega-3 dosage.
I send my best regards and remain available for any further information.
