Ask the Pharmacist

I notice a different color in the Omegor Twinefa pearls, what is the reason for this?

I noticed a change in the color of the Twinefa capsules: straw yellow instead of the usual amber yellow.

Has there been any change in the formulation? I have purchased several boxes of this product over about a year and a half, with the most recent one just last September (batch 9_ o339).

The Twinefa capsules have always appeared amber yellow. Now, in the last box I purchased (batch 11_o2329), the oil appears straw yellow, the same color as the Vitality capsules.

It’s natural to feel uncertain about this change. I therefore ask for a detailed explanation. Thank you in advance.

Dear Alessandra,

I understand that, for someone who regularly uses a product, a change in color can raise some concern.

Let me reassure you: with products made from natural ingredients, variations in color from batch to batch can occur. In the specific case of the batch you mentioned (9-0339), the color change is due to the gelatin used for the capsule shell. The oily content itself is straw yellow and does not significantly affect the final color of the capsule. This is purely an “aesthetic” variation, which does not affect the safety or quality of the formulation, but it may certainly stand out to a careful observer.

Kind regards, and I remain available for any further clarification.
