Ask the Pharmacist

Does Omegor Vitality 1000 naturally contain vitamin D3?

I am taking 1 capsule a day of Omegor Vitality 1000. I would like to ask if it naturally contains vitamin D3, since it is fish oil. I ask because in the past few days I took 1 capsule of vitamin D3 in addition to the supplement, but I experienced symptoms of intoxication: stomach ache, loss of appetite, poor digestion.

Dear Giuseppe,

Omegor Vitality does not contain vitamin D3. The adverse effects you experienced are not related to taking 1 capsule/day of the product. Overdose can potentially cause symptoms such as nausea, flatulence, and diarrhea. There is no established daily dose for vitamin D: the usual recommended amount for adults is 5-10 micrograms (200-400 IU) per day with a maximum limit of 50 micrograms (2,000 IU).

You can try stopping one of the two treatments or spacing the doses to monitor symptom progression. If this discomfort persists, I recommend consulting your doctor.

I remain available for any further clarification on the matter.

Kind regards,
