Skin aging: Antiage or Vitality?
Hello, to increase cognitive abilities and reduce hyperactivity and attention deficit and to help verbal communication in a child with autistic disorder, which supplement is most indicated? What dosage and for how long? Should it be administered cyclically? THANK YOU
Dear Madam,
Unfortunately, you did not specify your child's age; therefore, I am providing some general indications about the use of omega-3 in children with autism and, more generally, autism spectrum disorders (ASD). First of all, can omega-3 be helpful in autism? Potentially yes:
- Individuals with autism spectrum disorders often present a deficiency of Omega-3 at the level of cell membranes;
- Clinical evidence shows that the reintroduction through diet of these nutrients can lead to a reduction in aggressive behavior that often affects autism;
- DHA is the omega-3 most present at the cellular membranes of the nervous system: for this reason, it is precisely DHA that should preferably be supplemented in children with autism spectrum disorders.
Among our products, VitaDHA liquid in single-dose vials is the one that contains the highest dosage of DHA per dose: each 6 g vial of flavored oil provides 1250 mg of DHA and 360 mg of EPA. Of course, it is best that this dietary supplementation be previously discussed and approved by the treating physician or the autism specialist. The normally recommended dose is 1 vial per day, planning supplementation for a period of at least 2 months.
VitaDHA is produced using very pure and natural fish oil, flavored with lemon essential oil. It can be taken as is, directly from the vial or poured onto a teaspoon, since it is odorless/tasteless of fish and has a pleasant taste. Alternatively, it can be added to plain yogurt or fruit, spreadable cheeses, or smoothies.
I again recommend that any supplementation with VitaDHA be followed in agreement with the doctor specialist, so that they can verify and measure progress over time, also establishing, based on these evaluations, the duration of the supplementation. I remain available for further questions or clarifications.
Best regards,
