Study Intended: Which Supplement?

Dear Francesca,

For your daughter, I recommend Omegor Krill, indicated for stress, poor memory, mental and physical fatigue. Suitable for those facing intense professional, school, and sports commitments. Omegor Krill is a supplement of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, choline, and astaxanthin derived from krill oil. Krill (Euphasia superba) is a small crustacean that makes up the zooplankton of the cold Antarctic waters, where it represents one of the largest existing biomasses. It occupies the lowest step of the food chain and for this reason does not accumulate pollutants, ensuring high purity of its derivatives. Krill feeds on microscopic algae which represent its primary source of omega-3 and the antioxidant astaxanthin.

Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA help maintain adequate levels of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, improving memory and mental sharpness and reducing neurodegenerative processes. Furthermore, omega-3 fatty acids are in phospholipid form, which is an even more absorbable and bioavailable form, making them effective even at lower doses compared to fish oils. Choline, as phosphatidylcholine, is part of the composition of cell membranes and is involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. It increases the concentration of brain acetylcholine, improving memory impairment in both young and elderly subjects.

It is a rich source of organically bound phosphorus in a directly assimilable form. One of the preferred carriers of DHA in nervous system cells. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid responsible for the characteristic red color of krill oil; it is a natural antioxidant that maintains the freshness of krill oil and protects omega-3 fatty acids from oxidation. Astaxanthin is able to cross the blood-brain and blood-retinal barriers (powerful antioxidant effect at the nervous system level).

For your daughter, I recommend 3-4 capsules per day of Omegor Krill close to main meals, preferably in the first part of the day (breakfast and lunch). I recommend that she continue taking the supplement throughout the study period.

Best regards,
