What Omega-3 supplements for a 4 year old?
Which Omega-3 products can be used for 4-year-old children?
Dear Daniele,
Supplementation with Omega-3 DHA is generally recommended for children. Our Omegor Kids is a liquid supplement containing 200 mg of DHA from algal oil.
Its formulation contains the recommended amount of DHA to support children’s physical, intellectual, and behavioral growth. The Omega-3 fatty acid DHA is one of the fundamental components of the membranes of nervous system cells. It is also involved in the development of visual abilities. It is enriched with:
- vitamin D3, important for the fixation of calcium and phosphates in bones and tooth enamel;
- vitamin C, an antioxidant useful for stimulating the immune system.
The entire product is made particularly pleasant by the presence of honey, a natural energy source with well-known antibacterial, soothing, and emollient properties. The dosage is 1 sachet per day: to be taken alone, perhaps as a substitute for a snack, or added to plain yogurt. There is no need to administer it on a full stomach. Treatment cycles of 2-3 months can be done, followed by 1 month of pause between cycles.
Supplementation with Omegor Kids is particularly useful and effective even during the school period. Alternatively to Omegor Kids, you can supplement with 1 capsule per day of Omegor Vitality 1000, a product based on Omega-3 EPA (420 milligrams/capsule) and DHA (210 milligrams/capsule) fatty acids. The fish oil contained in Vitality capsules, very pure and deodorized, has obtained the IFOS certification.
The capsules can be pierced and the content administered alone or mixed with yogurt or spreadable cheese. To facilitate intake and minimize any possible fishy taste, it is advisable to keep the supplement refrigerated.
Best regards, and I remain available for any further clarification.
