Thin Hair, Are Omega-3s Effective?
My goal is to improve the appearance of my thin, flat hair. I am 46 years old, 1.60 m tall, and weigh 45 kg. I pay close attention to my diet and lead a very sedentary lifestyle. Lately, my menstrual cycle has been irregular and scant with very dark spotting. Menopause? I am worried about my hair. What should I take among Twinefa, Vitality, Antiage, and Krill? Can they be combined, and how?
Dear Madam,
To improve the appearance of your hair and, why not, the well-being of your skin, the combination I suggest is between the products Omegor Vitality and Omegor Antiage with the following daily dosage:
- 1–2 capsules per day of Omegor Vitality 1000 with meals;
- 1 capsule of Omegor Antiage.
This combination will allow you to achieve a good daily intake of Omega-3 EPA and DHA and to benefit from the antioxidant actives contained in the Omegor Antiage formulation – which can support your goal of restoring health and tone to your hair. Omegor Antiage is a dietary supplement based on omega-3, omega-6 from borage oil, plus resveratrol, curcumin, alpha-lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, and tocotrienols. This formulation combines the benefits of Omega-3/6 with a good dose of antioxidants, which can potentially:
- help counteract the formation of free radicals and oxidative processes;
- promote trophism, that is tone, body, and hydration, and the physiological function of the skin and its appendages, such as hair.
The recommended dose is 1 softgel per day, to be taken before a meal for a period of at least 2 months. Regarding your last question — whether the health of your hair might be somehow a sign of approaching menopause — I have a final suggestion.
The combination of omega-3 and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from borage oil, also present in Omegor Antiage, might promote good mood and potentially prove useful during the delicate periods of pre-menopause and menopause, also helping reduce hot flashes.
I remain available for further information.
Best regards,
Rosaria Ramondino, Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist.
