VitaDHA Baby or Omegor Kids?
Dear Stefania,
In agreement with your pediatrician’s advice, you may supplement your 16-month-old daughter’s diet with the product VitaDHA Baby, which is suitable for ages 0 to 2 years.
The product is available as squeezable capsules containing purified and deodorized fish oil by multiple molecular distillation and flavored with orange.
Each capsule contains 100 mg of DHA, the amount recommended by the European Commission for the normal development of infants’ visual capacities, and 10 mcg of vitamin D3, important for bone growth and development, supporting nervous system development and enhancing immune system function in children.
The recommended dosage is 1 squeezable capsule per day. You can squeeze the content directly into the child’s mouth or add it to formula milk, yogurt, or lukewarm drinks.
For your 4-year-old daughter, you can use the product Omegor Kids, specially formulated for preschool and school-age children, containing algal oil rich in DHA (200 mg), honey syrup flavored with orange, Vitamin D3 (10 mcg), and Vitamin C (12 mg).
DHA is one of the fundamental components of the cell membranes in the nervous system and is important for maintaining normal brain and visual functions.
Vitamin D is necessary for children’s bone growth and development, while vitamin C helps energy metabolism. Vitamins C and D together support the immune system function.
The recommended dose is one vial per day, to be taken as is or mixed with honey syrup and plain or citrus yogurt. This way, the Omega-3s are optimally absorbed, and the taste will be pleasantly similar to honey yogurt.
Both products are generally well accepted and tolerated by children.
Please feel free to contact us for further information and we recommend informing your pediatrician about the choice to supplement your daughters’ diet with omega-3.
Kind regards,
Dr. Rosaria Ramondino Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
