Omegor Ultra 1200: Omega-3 of maximum concentration and purity.

They protect the heart, allow the brain to function at its full potential, and help us see clearly, but to provide their benefits, they must be taken in the right doses – doses that, depending on the case, can be quite high. That’s why it’s important to choose sufficiently concentrated Omega 3 supplements, such as OMEGOR® Ultra 1200, a product that offers the maximum in desirable concentration and purity.

The health benefits associated with polyunsaturated Omega 3 fats are more than one: they support heart function; help maintain normal levels of parameters crucial for cardiovascular well-being; are allies of the brain and vision; and new research continues to highlight other potential advantages derived from their adequate intake.

Depending on the benefit you want to achieve, the amount of Omega 3 you need to take daily varies accordingly. For this reason too, when you choose to take an Omega 3 supplement, it’s not enough to just buy the first available product: the concentration of active ingredients inside can literally make the difference in both dosage (how many capsules to take) and expected effects.

In such a context, there are supplements that guarantee an adequate and sustainable intake of Omega 3 in any circumstance. Among these, OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 stands out, with as much as 610 mg of EPA and 510 mg of DHA per capsule and its IFOS 5-Star certification, representing the highest concentration and purity you could have at your disposal.

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: characteristics and composition

Each capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 contains an exceptional concentration of bioactive Omega 3 fatty acids – that is, the ones your body actually needs.

These are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), two molecules found in marine-source Omega 3s (fish, krill, microalgae and derived oils), present, as previously mentioned, in very high doses (610 mg in the case of EPA and 510 mg in the case of DHA).

In total, therefore, one capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 allows you to take 1,120 mg of EPA + DHA. Added to this are other Omega 3s, for a total of 1,200 mg of Omega 3 per capsule.

These Omega 3s come from fish oil and are present in the form of re-esterified triglycerides, the most bioavailable form (and the most similar to the natural one) among those in which Omega 3s from concentrated fish oil can be taken.

In fact, you should know that in natural fish oil, Omega 3s are mostly present in the form of triglycerides. However, these natural fish oils are not very concentrated; this is why the production process of dietary supplements includes a concentration process.

In the oils obtained at the end of this latter process, however, the Omega 3s have another form, that of ethyl esters. Unfortunately, this form is indeed more concentrated, but at the same time less bioavailable. This means that you struggle more to absorb them and to get them where your body needs them most.

For this reason, today Omega 3 producers do not always settle for just concentrating Omega 3s, but often also aim to reconvert them into their natural, more bioavailable form: that of triglycerides. At the end of the production processes, high-quality Omega 3 supplements like OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 contain these Omega 3s reconverted into triglycerides, hence called “re-esterified triglycerides.”

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: the benefits and when to take it

EPA and DHA are two fundamental Omega 3s for your body. If we don’t define them as “essential,” it’s only because this adjective – “essential” – has a very specific meaning in nutrition: it refers to nutrients that the human body cannot synthesize in any way and that must therefore be taken with food or dietary supplements.

The truly essential Omega 3 is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which is also the precursor of EPA and DHA. Abundant in plant-based foods (such as walnuts and flaxseeds), once absorbed, ALA can be converted by your body into EPA and DHA. But there’s a problem: your efficiency in doing so is very low.

This poor ability to convert ALA into EPA and DHA (which are the Omega 3s you actually need) means that, in practice, taking preformed EPA and DHA is a better choice than taking ALA, and this measure becomes even more useful when the amounts of EPA and DHA your body needs are high.

To tell you what these amounts correspond to are the Italian Society of Human Nutrition (SINU) and the European Food Safety Authority (Efsa):

- SINU reminds you that at every age you need 250 mg of EPA+DHA per day, with additional doses of DHA (ranging between 100 and 200 mg per day) during specific life stages (such as pregnancy and breastfeeding);

Efsa goes further into detail about the benefits of Omega 3s, stating that:

- to promote proper heart function, 250 mg of EPA + DHA per day are needed;

- to promote proper brain and vision function, 250 mg of DHA per day are needed;

- to maintain normal triglyceride levels, you need 2,000 mg (2 g) of EPA + DHA per day;

- to maintain normal blood pressure, you need 3,000 mg (3 g) of EPA + DHA per day.

From these numbers, you can understand that EPA plays a key role especially in cardiovascular support, while DHA is particularly important for supporting your brain function and visual capacity. Together, they form an unbeatable duo for your overall well-being.

So here’s when (and how much) OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 to take based on your needs:

- 1 capsule per day to maintain normal heart function;

- 1 capsule per day is also enough to support your visual and cognitive functions;

- 2 capsules per day to maintain normal blood triglyceride levels;

- 3 capsules per day to maintain normal blood pressure.

The guarantees of the IFOS certification

As far as the “quality” aspect is concerned, you should know that the cutting-edge purification process applied to the raw material used to produce OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 allows this Omega 3 supplement to obtain the prestigious 5-star IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) certification for each batch – a guarantee that you are taking a premium-quality, highly concentrated, and incredibly pure product.

IFOS is a certification program managed by Nutrasource Inc. (an independent Canadian laboratory at the University of Guelph) and represents the highest quality standard currently available worldwide for Omega 3 supplements.

A 5-Star certification means you are guaranteed:

- concentration: the amount of EPA and DHA stated on the label is exactly what is present in the capsules contained in the package you purchased and, therefore, the amount of EPA and DHA you ingest;

- extreme purity: the capsules of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 contain no pollutants (such as dioxins and PCBs) or heavy metals (such as mercury) that could be potentially harmful to your health;

- assured freshness: the fish oil in OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is always fresh, never rancid. This means it has no unpleasant aftertaste and does not contain oxidized fats that could reduce the concentration of active Omega 3s or pose safety issues.

If you want to personally verify the IFOS certification, you can search for the certificates of currently marketed batches on the IFOS Program website. You can search by:

-  the product name;

- the company name (U.G.A. Nutraceuticals);

- the batch number you intend to purchase (or have already purchased).

But the guarantees of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 don’t stop there. In fact, U.G.A. Nutraceuticals is among the first members of GOED Omega-3 (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3), which means it complies with the world’s strictest standards for Omega-3 supplements. Furthermore, it has also obtained ISO 9001 certification – a way to assure you that every phase of the production process is monitored and meticulously controlled.

OMEGOR® Ultra 1200: contraindications

Each capsule of OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 is made of edible gelatin. Together with the fish oil it contains, this results in the only general contraindication of this dietary supplement: allergy to fish or other components of the product.

For everything else, consult your doctor if you suffer from coagulation disorders or if you are taking medications or other products that may affect the coagulation and platelet aggregation process.

Omega 3s are considered safe up to a maximum daily dosage of 5 grams. Possible side effects, mostly digestive, can be avoided with high-quality products like OMEGOR® Ultra 1200 and by adjusting intake according to individual response.
