Joint Pain: Can Supplements Reduce It?
Good afternoon, I am 42 years old and since I was 14-15 I have always had knee pain. I have had many medical visits but no explanation for these sudden pains that sometimes were so strong that they prevented me from walking, so much so that I was forced to leave the volleyball team where I played. Then at age 26 I underwent surgery on the patella of the left knee, which according to the orthopedist, had worn cartilage. Anyway, to make a long story short, another 16 years have passed and often with the change of weather I experience strong pain in my legs and lately also in my elbows. My question is this: can I find relief by taking some supplements?
Dear Katia,
Fish oil can help limit joint, rheumatic, and muscle pain when there is a strong inflammatory component. The omega-3 in fish oil reduce the production of molecules that promote inflammation, thus contributing to joint function.
Some scientific studies have shown that a diet rich in omega-3 and low in omega-6 can be helpful in other inflammatory disorders, and that the consumption of EPA and DHA supplements can improve rheumatoid arthritis symptoms when taken alongside traditional pharmacological therapy. I recommend supplementation with 2-3 capsules per day of Omegor Vitality 1000 (available in packs of 30 and 45 softgels) to be taken before a main meal.
Each capsule of Omegor Vitality 1000 provides 750 milligrams of EPA and 420 milligrams of DHA.
Best regards
