Attention deficit, which product for a 10 year old?
Hello, I am interested in your product but I would like to know which one is the most suitable and the recommended dosage. I have a 10-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and attention deficit (he is not hyperactive, actually he is very calm). He gets tired easily after doing homework for a while. He weighs 42 kg. Thank you very much.
Dear Tatiana,
If your pediatrician agrees, the most suitable product for your child is VitaDHA in single-dose vials, a supplement rich in very high quality fish oil. Each vial contains about 2000 milligrams total of omega-3, of which:
- 1450 mg of DHA
- 330 mg of EPA
As you can also read on our blog, several studies have reported that omega-3 can improve symptoms related to memory and attention deficits, as a deficiency of DHA in the diet may be correlated with decreased attention and learning abilities.
DHA plays a fundamental role in brain development, the visual system, and in maintaining their function, being the main component of neuronal cell membranes, providing the necessary fluidity to grow, connect with other cells, and transmit nerve signals. VitaDHA liquid has a pleasant taste and can be taken directly or added to drinks, yogurt, smoothies, juices, and fruit juices.
I recommend 1 vial every other day for one or two weeks, then 1 vial daily. Please remember that supplements are not to be considered as therapy, but only as nutritional support.
