Dry Eye Syndrome: Can Omega-3s Help Me?
Dear Emma,
The combination of omega-3 and omega-6, as demonstrated by several clinical studies conducted on patients with Dry Eye Syndrome, is able to reduce the symptoms of this condition.
The beneficial effect is due to their powerful anti-inflammatory activity and their ability to increase the ocular lipid layer, thereby reducing dryness. For these reasons, I recommend trying supplementation with Omegor TwinEFA, a product based on omega-3 fatty acids extracted from fish oil, omega-6 (gamma-linolenic acid) from borage oil, and vitamin E, a natural antioxidant.
The capsules can be swallowed with water or chewed, as the contained oil has a pleasant orange aroma. The recommended intake is 1 or 2 capsules per day with a meal. In case of overdose, the product may rarely cause digestive discomfort, which can be resolved by reducing the dose or temporarily discontinuing the supplementation.
