High Cholesterol: Which Supplement Is Right For My 63 Year Old Husband?
I would like to know which supplement could be suitable for my husband (63 years old) who has always had high cholesterol (320), previously treated with statins and later with Armolipid Plus. Now it has settled around 220, but I would like it to go down further. Also, since both his parents had Alzheimer’s, I would like to give him support in this regard as well. I await your kind response and send my best regards.
Dear Fulvia,
I suggest that your husband try Cardiol Forte, which contains omega-3 from fish oil useful to reduce triglycerides, fermented red rice extract, artichoke leaf extract (the bioflavonoids have choleretic, cholagogue, and hepatoprotective activities, and the flavonoids inhibit cholesterol biosynthesis and protect LDL from oxidative damage), olive polyphenols, whose protective effects on LDL cholesterol oxidation have been demonstrated in numerous studies, and coenzyme Q10.
The recommended daily dose of Cardiol Forte is one capsule per day to be taken in the evening just before dinner, always remembering to follow a balanced diet. Regarding your second question, if your husband’s diet does not contain sufficient amounts of fatty fish, I suggest combining Cardiol Forte with a pure omega-3 supplement such as Meaquor 1000 or Vitality 1000.
Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are fundamental components of brain membranes, strongly influencing the structure, fluidity, and communication between neurons. We naturally recommend informing your general practitioner of all dietary measures (diet, supplements) you intend to adopt, as well as discussing the possibility of using our products, so as to decide with him the most appropriate therapy.
Best regards,
