Hyperactivity, is VitaDHA okay for 8 years?
Good morning, I have an eight-year-old hyperactive child and would like to know if the VitaDHA liquid supplement is suitable for him. Also, he has difficulty reading and writing but is not dyslexic; can this supplement still help him at school? I would kindly like to know the dosage, if it is one vial per day also for an eight-year-old. Thank you. Best regards.
Dear Madam,
For hyperactivity and other disorders, I recommend considering dietary supplements not as a therapy, but as a nutritional support with exclusively nutritional and physiological effects, to help the regular functioning of the body.
That said, based on what you described, VitaDHA in single-dose vials is probably the most suitable product for your 8-year-old child. Children with attention deficits or hyperactivity often benefit from taking omega-3 DHA. It has been scientifically observed that children with ADHD and hyperactivity are frequently deficient in this fatty acid—DHA—which plays very important structural roles in the nervous system and retina.
Here are some articles published on our blog:

If you decide to start supplementation with VitaDHA—here is the supplement sheet to show to your doctor—I recommend that this supplementation be started in agreement with your pediatrician or specialist following your child’s hyperactivity. For your child, I recommend this dosage:
- start with 1 vial every other day for at least 2 weeks;
- then move to 1 vial per day;
- with a supplementation period of at least 2 months.
The oil can be taken directly from the vial or poured onto a teaspoon: it is odorless and tasteless of fish and flavored with lemon. It can also be added to plain yogurt, fruit, spreadable cheeses, or smoothies. I remain available for further information.
Best regards,
