I suffer from colitis, can Omega-3 help me?

Good morning, while visiting your website I found a wide range of supplements. However, I cannot understand which one is most suitable for my needs, namely Vitamin D deficiency (blood value = 13) and especially chronic colitis, diarrhea, and intestinal bloating. Could you please indicate the most suitable one? Thank you.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for contacting us. For the colitis you suffer from and the problems related to vitamin D deficiency, different solutions are needed. Vitamin D3 Deficiency. Our line of dietary supplements focuses on omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from various sources such as fish oil, algal oil, and krill oil.

Recently, a dietary supplement containing only Vitamin D3 has been launched, D3 Drops. This supplement is suitable in cases of Vitamin D deficiency (25-OH vitamin D levels below 20 ng/ml) revealed by tests. My advice is to consult your doctor to determine the dosages to use.

Colitis. In cases of chronic colitis—as inflammation of the intestinal tract—supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids may be useful and beneficial, as it helps reduce typical inflammatory symptoms and to “calm” the inflamed intestine. The product you could take for potential benefit for your colitis is Omegor Vitality 1000 (pack of 30 or 45 capsules) following this dosage:

  • 2 capsules per day
  • for a period of at least 1-2 months.

You may observe the benefits of omega-3 supplementation progressively over time, after the first weeks of intake. I remain available for further information and invite you to contact us again if you have any further needs.

Best regards,
