Omega-3 supplementation in patients with cholesterol levels below normal

Dear Sabrina,

Omega-3s are important nutrients for the proper functioning of the body. They particularly influence blood levels of HDL (increasing it) and triglycerides, effectively contributing to their reduction. They do not have a significant effect on total cholesterol or LDL cholesterol. Low cholesterol values are rather unusual in cases like the one you described, so further investigation will surely be necessary. Several studies have shown that taking Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA), combined with a low-calorie diet and moderate but consistent physical activity, can help reduce excess fat, allowing for greater weight loss and optimizing the effects of the diet.

Omega-3s can increase basal fat oxidation (through which fat is used to produce energy) and at the same time counteract lipogenesis (the process by which fat is stored as reserve in the body). The most suitable product in this case is Omegor Vitality, available in 500 and 1000 milligram formats.

The recommended dosage is 1-3 pearls per day of Vitality 1000 milligrams (or 2-6 pearls of 500 mg), preferably taken before the main meal to better favor absorption and avoid any possible “rebound effect.” The minimum treatment period is 8 weeks, the time needed for Omega-3 fatty acids to integrate into cell membranes.

Best regards.
