Are depression and high anxiety levels caused by high cholesterol and triglycerides?
I am a blood donor. I often have slightly elevated triglyceride and cholesterol levels. I suffer from depression and experience a high level of anxiety: do these two elevated values affect the nervous system? What do you recommend? Thank you for your attention, kind regards.
Dear Ignazio,
triglyceride and cholesterol levels are not directly related to mood disorders such as anxiety and/or depression.
In your case, I recommend supplementation with Omegor Vitality 1000, combined with a varied and balanced diet and moderate but consistent physical activity. The dosage is 3 capsules per day, to be taken before meals. This treatment will help lower triglyceride levels and improve mood.
Research has shown that depression and cognitive disorders are often associated with low blood levels of Omega-3. I hope I have been helpful and remain at your disposal for any further questions or clarifications.
Kind regards,
Dr. Jessica Lolli, Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Chemist
