Can Omega-3s Help With Palpitations?
I suffer from "paroxysmal palpitations on exertion, a nodal reentrant reciprocal tachycardia with a VA interval of 20–40 ms." This is stated in the results of an electrophysiological study: can taking Omega-3 help me? If so, in what quantity? Thank you.
Dear Elena,
Omega-3s are capable of exerting an antiarrhythmic effect due to their ability to integrate into cardiac cell membranes, stabilizing them and influencing the activity of ion channels that regulate contraction.
For this reason, supplementation with the product Omegor Vitality may be helpful in counteracting the onset of fibrillatory events. A recommended daily intake is 1 to 3 capsules of Vitality 1000 (equivalent to 2–6 capsules of Vitality 500), preferably before main meals: this improves absorption and avoids any possible "rebound effect." I hope to have fully addressed your request and remain at your disposal for any further questions or clarifications.
Best regards.
