Is it advisable to use Cardiol in patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes?
Dear Mr. Grassia,
Cardiol is a supplement formulated to support overall cardiovascular health through multiple mechanisms.
It can be used in cases of type II non-insulin-dependent diabetes. I recommend this product if you're seeking a strong cholesterol-lowering effect along with support for balancing other blood lipid values. The Omega-3s in it help to:
- reduce blood triglycerides;
- promote an increase in “good” HDL cholesterol;
- stabilize heart rate and rhythm.
Red yeast rice, bioflavonoids, policosanols, tocotrienols, and vitamin B3 work synergistically to effectively reduce LDL cholesterol. Folic acid and vitamin B12 also help reduce plasma homocysteine levels, a metabolite known to damage the vascular endothelium. Antioxidants such as resveratrol, CoQ10, sesamin, and piperine help combat oxidative stress, a key factor in cellular deterioration.
The recommended dosage of Cardiol is one capsule per day, preferably before dinner.
Another product I recommend is Eulipid, a supplement based on berberine, bioflavonoids, and policosanols, along with resveratrol, tocotrienols, and CoQ10. Eulipid helps balance:
- total cholesterol levels,
- LDL cholesterol,
- and triglycerides.
Several studies have shown that berberine, the main ingredient in this formulation, has a cholesterol-lowering effect as well as a blood sugar-lowering effect similar to metformin. The combination of berberine and Citrus bioflavonoids, also present in Eulipid, has been shown to reduce postprandial hyperglycemia in overweight individuals. The dosage for Eulipid is also one tablet per day, preferably before dinner.
My suggestion is to begin with Cardiol following the recommended dosage. After 8 weeks, repeat your blood tests and, if the results are not yet satisfactory, we can evaluate whether to add Eulipid. I hope this has been helpful. I recommend informing your doctor about your decision to start supplementation alongside any current therapies.
Best regards,
